Quality and improvement

Quality according to UniCa

Quality Assurance (QA) and continuous improvement are fundamental principles adopted by the University of Cagliari in the execution of all institutional activities. These activities are managed and organized through planning aligned with the University’s policies and strategic guidelines.

Research, teaching, and third mission activities must meet quality standards aligned with European-level guidelines, and must also comply with national regulations and guidelines issued by the Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR) and the National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research Institutes (ANVUR).

To this end, the AVA system (Self-assessment, Periodic Evaluation, Accreditation) was introduced under the responsibility of ANVUR. The goal is to improve the quality of teaching and research in universities through the application of a QA model based on internal procedures for the design, management, self-assessment, and continuous improvement of educational and scientific activities, as well as through external evaluations conducted in a clear and transparent manner.

The University of Cagliari has developed a Quality Assurance System, managed with the support of the University Quality Assurance Office (PQA), through which it is constantly committed to ensuring the quality and continuous improvement of its activities, with the valuable contribution of all those involved.
