The University Language Centre offers a language skills assessment service at the request of Faculties. These tests are free of charge and do not necessarily include an oral examination. They are arranged directly with the Faculties, which send the lists of the students to be tested to our technical staff. You can check any scheduled dates on the calendar page. Language Skills Assessment Test

The University Language Centre offers a paid language skills assessment service, which does not follow university deadlines, approximately every two months. The service is available at a reduced fee for students at the University of Cagliari and at the standard fee for external users. For further information please check the menu on the left.

Courses

The University Language Centre periodically organises in-presence and online courses for students regularly enrolled at the University of Cagliari, even temporarily as a result of national and international agreements (Erasmus), research fellows, PhD and postgraduate students, students enrolled in 1st and 2nd level Professional Master’s programmes, graduates, adults and non-EU citizens, provided they have a regular residence permit. Translation and proofreading

The Centre provides translation and proofreading services to the University Faculty and Administration and to external bodies who request them in the following languages: ENGLISH (BrE and AmE), FRENCH, SPANISH, and GERMAN. International Certifications

In compliance with the AICLU (Italian Association of University Language Centres) document approved in 2018 and amended in 2019, the certifications recognised by our Language Centre are those issued by the following Certification Bodies: 

English: Cambridge ESOL, IELTS, Pearson Academic, TOEFL, Trinity ISE (Integrated Skills in English). 

French: DELF, DALF, Diplôme de français professionnel (DFP); Business French Diplôme Supérieur d’Etudes Commerciales (DSEC); Chambre de Commerce et Industrie de Paris (CCIP); French for Professional Purposes DFP.

Italian as a Foreign Language: University for Foreigners of Perugia CELI; Roma Tre University; University for Foreigners of Siena CILS; Dante Alighieri Society.
