Veronica is an Administrative Project Assistant within the UniCa team of the EDUC Alliance. After earning her master’s degree in Translation and Interpreting, she began her career as a freelancer in the same field as her studies. However, after five years, she discovered a passion for tourism and event planning, which led her to work as an employee in tour operators and event agencies. These two very different professional experiences allowed her, on the one hand, to keep the languages she studied academically active, and on the other hand, to develop not only a broad openness towards Europe but also a strong attentiveness and willingness towards her interlocutors.

In the local EDUC team, she is responsible for actions aimed at students and researchers: through internships and various types of training experiences (virtual, in-person, and blended), she supports outgoing and incoming students in discovering the world of work, its challenges, and its opportunities.

Valeria handles back-office tasks and administrative support for the EDUC Alliance. After earning her bachelor’s degree in Languages and Communication from the University of Cagliari, she completed a first-level master’s program in Food & Wine Communication in Milan. This opportunity allowed her to start her career at a well-known Italian publishing house specializing in food and wine, based in Rome, where she spent three years assisting with the planning, organization, management, and follow-up of institutional events held between Rome and Milan. She then went on to earn a master’s degree in Literature, Modern Philology, and Cultural Industry from the University of Sassari, focusing on an innovative curriculum centered on the Languages and Cultures of Sardinia. She also obtained an experimental C1 certification in the Sardinian language. Within the EDUC project, Valeria provides technical support and helps manage the procedures needed to ensure the smooth running of all activities organized by the Alliance for teaching and academic staff, administrative personnel, and students.
