The University of Cagliari has published the notice DR 493 of 30 May 2025 for the submission of two-year research projects, as approved by the decision of the Board of Directors of 29 April 2025, for supporting basic research projects funded by Regional Law 7 of 7 August 2007.

Research topics: any basic interdisciplinary research topic.

Applicants: eligible researchers (PI) must meet the following criteria:1) be tenured faculty at the University of Cagliari with a permanent contract or with a fixed-term contract of type B researcher (RtdB) or in tenure track (RTT); 2)hold a PhD degree awarded no more than ten years before the publication date of this notice; 3) had not participated as a PI or as a member of the research group, in Starting Grant projects funded in 2023 (DR 214 of 7 February 2023).

Available resources: euros 450,000.00 (total, gross including management costs).

Project details
- cost of single project: maximum of 100,000.00 euros;

- financing method: 100% of eligible costs;

- duration of the project: maximum 24 months.

Submission methods: project proposals must be submitted exclusively using an online form  on the Starts platform accessible from  the Unica homepage which can be reached through the red Login button  located at the top right.

Deadline: The deadline for applications is July 4, 2025, until 12:00 pm.
