UniCa Sailing Team: Sailing Towards Innovation and Sustainability!

We're thrilled to introduce the "UniCa Sailing Team," a project by the Università degli Studi di Cagliari involving 65 students from various disciplines! Our aim is to design and compete with an eco-sustainable Moth International class boat in the "Foiling SuMoth Challenge" during the Foiling Week at Lake Garda.

Sustainability at Sea: The project focuses on designing a boat following the "3R" principles (Reuse, Recycle, Reduce) and participating in events like the Foiling SuMoth Challenge, 1001 Vela Cup, Nautical Shows promoting accessibility and sustainability.

Personal and Professional Development: Students will gain interpersonal and professional skills, attending specialized seminars and collaborating with the team. The boat will serve as a testing ground for design, manual and managerial skills, providing a unique experience!

Foiling SuMoth Challenge: In Summer 20204, our team, led by skipper Gabriele De Marco, will navigate the waters of Lake Garda, competing against other European universities in the spectacular "Foiling SuMoth Challenge". An extraordinary journey blending innovation, sports, and sustainability!
