Flavio Stochino is Assistant Professor of Structural Analysis and Design at the Department of Civil Environmental Engineering and Architecture of University of Cagliari.

Bachelor Degree Civil Engineering (2007), Master Degree Civil-Structural Egineering (2009) 110/100 magna cum laude at University of Cagliari.

PhD in Structural Engineering (2013) at University of Cagliari. Dissertation title: "Flexural models of reinforced concrete beams under blast load".

Italian National Qualification for the position of Associate Professor in Structural Analysis and Design from 09/20/2018 to 09/20/2028

His scientific research deals with sustainable materials and extreme load on structures. in particular, he is interested blast/impulsive loading and fire design of R.C. structures. Furthermore, he deepened his knowledge in computational mechanics, reliability and seismic analysis of existing structures. He worked also on structural optimization problems. He is interested also in structural dynamics, laminated mechanics, structural FE modelling, Isogemoetric Analysis, hybrid-mixed FE.
