Il Prof. Philippe Ackerer (University of Strasbourg, France) terrà nei giorni 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12 e 13 luglio 2012, dalle ore 09.00 alle ore 13.00 uno short course su:
Modelling Flow and Pollutant Transport in Groundwater
Il corso si svolgerà secondo il seguente calendario:
Thursday, July 5th, h. 9.00 – 13.00:
Introduction to mathematical modeling. Definitions and examples.
Friday, July 6th, h. 9.00 – 13.00:
Basic equations of flow and pollutant transport.
Darcy’s law, advection/dispersion equations, density driven flow, reactive transport.
Monday, July 9th, h. 9.00 – 13.00:
Numerical methods: finite volume
Description, application to 1D flow and transport modeling
Tuesday, July 10th, h. 9.00 – 13.00:
Numerical methods: finite elements
Description, application to 1D flow and transport modelling
Wednesday, July 11th, h. 9.00 – 13.00:
Practical aspects of groundwater modeling (exercise on computers)
Thursday, July 12th, h. 9.00 – 13.00:
Practical aspects of groundwater modeling (exercise on computers)
Friday, July 13th, h. 9.00 – 13.00:
Basics of inverse methods.
Least square methods, maximum likelihood, sensitivity analysis, optimization
Il corso è rivolto ai Dottorandi della Scuola di Dottorato Ingegneria e Scienze per l’Ambiente e il Territorio (Dottorato in Difesa e conservazione del suolo, vulnerabilità ambientale e protezione idrogeologica) , agli studenti della Laurea Magistrale in Ingegneria per l’Ambiente e il Territorio, e a tutti colori che ne fossero interessati [ai partecipanti verranno attributi 4 crediti].
Al fine di permettere una razionale organizzazione delle postazioni informatiche, coloro che intendessero partecipare allo short-course sono pregati di comunicarlo entro il 28 giugno p.v. all’indirizzo mail ing.foddis@gmail.com.
Il prof. Ackerer Philippe terrà inoltre il giorno 6 luglio 2012 dalle ore 17.00 presso l’aula lezioni DICAAR (ex DIT - sez. Geologia Applicata e Geofisica Applicata) un seminario dal titolo:
"Impacts of the climate changes on the water resources of the Upper Rhine valley"
