Cristina Sechi is Associate Professor of Dynamic Psychology (PSIC-04/A). She received the degree in Developmental Psychology from the University of Cagliari, Italy, in 2005, the 2nd level University Master's degree in research Methodology from the Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, in 2008 and a Ph.D. degree in Psychology from the University of Pavia, Italy, in 2013. From 2013 to 2015 she has been research fellow in Dynamic Psychology with a project entitled “Parenting and psychosocial risk during the first year of the child’s life: a longitudinal study on the efficacy of early home-visiting intervention in enhancing the quality of parent-child relationship and child development”, Department of Pedagogy, Psychology and Philosophy, University of Cagliari. From 2017 to 2018 she has been research fellow in Dynamic Psychology with a project entitled “Maternal depression and perinatal outcomes infant attachment: an integrated model for the evaluation of protective factors and neurobiological risk, relational, psychosocial to verify the effectiveness of preventive interventions”, Department of Pedagogy, Psychology and Philosophy, University of Cagliari. From 2019 to 2022 she has been Assistant Professor in Dynamic Psychology at the Department of Pedagogy, Psychology and Philosophy at the University of Cagliari. In November 2024, she obtained the National Scientific Qualification to function as full university professor with regard to the competition sector 11/E4, Clinical and Dynamic Psychology. His research interests include the parenting in normal and psycho-social risk samples, typical and atypical child development, infant attachment and parental psychopathology and diagnostic systems of Mental Disorders. She has several statistical skills on multivariate analysis, structural equation modeling (SEM), dyadic and longitudinal data analysis.She is a member of the Italian Association of Psychology, Clinical and Dynamic Psychology Division (AIP) and Italian affiliate of the World Association for Infant Mental Health (WAIMH). She is in the editorial board of the BMC Public Health and PLOSONE journals. She has several positive experiences of home visiting for enhancing the quality of parent-child relationship and child development. She attended the Italian certified training on video-feedback program Intervention VIPP-SD to promote positive parenting and sensitive discipline. She teaches Dynamic Psychology in childhood and adolescence and Abuse and Trauma: Assessment and Intervention at the Faculty of Humanistic Studies, University of Cagliari.
