Where is the conference?

The Faculty of Political Sciences is located in Viale Fra Ignazio, in the city centre of Cagliari, and can be reached easily by train, taxi or public transport.

How to get from Cagliari Airport to the Faculty of Political Sciences (Viale Fra Ignazio)

  1. Direct flights  to Cagliari Elmas Airport
    In Spring and Summer Cagliari becomes a very interesting destination, a lot of main airlines have direct connections from all around the World.

  2. Cagliari Airport to the city centre
    • By train (recommended option)
      1. From Cagliari Elmas Airport, follow the signs to the train station (located just outside the terminal and connected by a covered walkway).
      2. Take a regional train to Cagliari Central Station (tickets are available at ticket machines or online at https://www.trenitalia.com/it.html).
         - Trains run every 15–20 minutes.
         - Travel time: about 5 minutes.
      3. From Cagliari Central Station:
         - Walk for about 15 minutes to Viale Fra Ignazio, or
         - Take a local bus (see details below).
    • By taxi
      Taxis are available directly outside the airport terminal. Payment can be made directly to the driver by credit card. Reference numbers are +39 070 6655 (RadioTaxi Rossoblu) and +39 070 400101 (Radio Taxi Quattro Mori).
       - Travel time: 10–15 minutes, depending on traffic
       - Estimated fare: 30 EURO
    • Rent a car
      There are a lot of main rent companies located in the Airport area.
    • Local transport in Cagliari
      Cagliari has one of the most efficient local transport systems in Italy (CTM).

      You can buy your tickets online, using the app Bus Finder (https://www.ctmcagliari.it/busfinder/), at newsstands, tobacco shops or directly by credit card in the bus at the machine. If you have a print ticket be aware that you need to stamp the ticket to validate it in case of controls. If you have a digital ticket with the app you need to validate scanning the Qr Code you can find in the bus.
         -  Bus lines: 1, 5, or 6
         - Get off at stops near Viale Fra Ignazio or Piazza d’Armi
         - Travel time: 5–10 minutes
    • On Foot (from the city centre)
      If you are staying near the city centre or the port area, the Faculty of Political Sciences is within walking distance (approximately 15–20 minutes from Cagliari Central Station).
