Abstract:

The intersection of generative AI and human-centered HCI is reshaping interface design, blending computational adaptability with deeply human aesthetic and tactile principles. This work explores the potential of emerging design metaphors—such as neumorphism (soft realism), skeuomorphism (familiar affordances), and tactile-augmented interfaces—to bridge the gap between AI-driven personalization and intuitive user experiences. By examining how generative systems dynamically reinterpret these metaphors in response to cognitive load, emotional states, and neural inputs, we propose a framework for interfaces that evolve with users rather than merely for them.
