Excited to share our research on "Reinforced Concrete Slab Optimization with Simulated Annealing." Flat slabs are known for their efficiency and versatility, but optimizing their design can result in significant cost savings, especially in series production. Our study presents the optimization of a rectangular slab, using the yield lines method and virtual work principle. Through simulated annealing, we determined the optimal reinforcement distribution and slab thickness, accounting for material costs and structural performance.
