On 20 January 2026, I had the opportunity to deliver an invited lecture at the Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences on post-fire investigations for reinforced concrete structures. The seminar, hosted by the Division of Civil Engineering, offered a valuable platform to discuss advanced methodologies for assessing fire-damaged RC buildings through integrated diagnostic and numerical approaches.
The session focused on key experimental techniques for damage evaluation, the use of CFD modelling to reconstruct the fire scenario, and finite-element simulations to quantify residual structural capacity. The discussion with faculty, researchers, and students highlighted the importance of multidisciplinary strategies in understanding structural performance under extreme conditions.
For readers interested in further technical details, the full study is available here:

My sincere thanks to Prof. Anand and the Division of Civil Engineering for the invitation and their academic hospitality.
