Abstract
The disused copper mine of Funtana Raminosa (Gadoni, NU) preserves almost intact the means and structures linked to its industrial production cycle. Excavation machines, compressors, transport systems, crushers, mills and flotation cells allow for the complete recovery and maintenance of the asset’s functionality. Galleries, mineshafts and stoves become today the identity of the community that has benefited from the richness of the hard work in the mine. The productive cycle of the mine, variable in time along with technological improvements, completes the picture of the industrial mining heritage, which is key to the reuse of the asset, together with the memories of the miners still alive. The case study of the Funtana Raminosa mine, curated by the Geological Mining Historical and Environmental Park of Sardinia, can represent a replicable model of recovery, conservation and valorization, also for cultural tourism purposes, of disused mining sites.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
