Abstract

The work examines the effects of the ‘spousal authorization to exercise business’, one hundred years after its abolition and highlights its effects on women legal status. The historical framework allows, after a century, to evaluate the adopted measures to overcome the female gender disadvantage in business activities that statistically is still particularly large.
