Abstract

The article documents the visits, meetings, explorations and reflections on inclusion shared among two research groups from the University of Cagliari and the University of Rio Grande do Sul during a collaborative project research. The study of the law evolution, about the policies on teachers training and the pedagogical scholastic practices are the objects of a dialogue between two nations aimed to understand the differences and the similarities of the approach to school inclusion. Despite substantial differences in school organization system, the study highlights the role of the special education teacher, as the fulcrum of ongoing improvement through the actualization of the didactics processes, creating chances of authentic individual and social emancipation.
