Abstract
The contribution illustrates the case study of the redevelopment project of the infant school of Monastir, in the metropolitan area of Cagliari, recently realized through the collaboration between the DICAAR of Cagliari and the municipal technical office. The project is part of ISCOL @, a redevelopment plan for the school structures promoted and financed by the Sardinia region, and provides for the rethinking of the open space of the existing nursery school as a new place for integrated learning. This is a project that, using few financial resources, chooses to equip the garden with a succession of classrooms / workshops outside dedicated to the development of play activities and for the movement and to strengthen the relationship of children with the territory through a new pedagogy that can benefit from the en plein air space. The project is articulated in the definition of three high quality learning spaces, placed in succession (the classroom / laboratory under the tree, the soft play laboratory with the climbing wall, the lawn play area) in the external area that regulates the relationship between the building and the street front. Together with the new fence system envisaged, a rigorous white wall that includes portions with controlled permeability, the new structures for outdoor learning allow to pursue an urban regeneration strategy, giving the school institution a wider public role. Street. In this way the school is enriched by the possibilities offered by projecting outwards, "coming out of the classrooms" and bringing the learning experience back into a more direct relationship with the open space, of perceptual and physical contact with the context and with the territory.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
