Abstract

If for tradition we mean the transmission, over time and from generation to generation, of cultural heritage, habits, models and rules, then we need to consider concrete as traditional building techniques, as it has been 150 years since they spread and now, fifty years later, we can only consider those techniques as definitely well established in practice. However, how much do we know about the many architectural and technological experimentations carried out during this long period? The paper will present a survey, conducted on documents stored in 20th century architectural archives, in order to highlight some of the “traditional technique of Modern”, in view of future conservation interventions.
