Abstract

The PECL (Principles of European Contract Law) are a set of rules proposed by a commission of scholars with the aim to provide a common regulation on general contract law in Europe. They can be compared to the US restatements. Artt. 9:305-9:401 PECL regulate the effects of termination of contracts. The commentary compares the PECL regulation with the respective Italian regulation, highlighting analogies and differences as far as termination of contracts is concerned.
