Abstract
The article proposes, first and foremost, to present a general picture of the concept of reasoning in terminology. It then dealt with the legislative framework governing the use of the designation of origin and the geographical indication and then clarifying their definitions. The central point of the work is the analysis of the semantics of the denomination of DOP and IGP cheeses, with the aim of trying to motivate its origin. In this analysis, they follow a series of revisions proposals, seeking in the denomination a motivation that is more closely related to the peculiarities and specificities of the production and processing phases. So the focus will be on official documents published by Community and national bodies, on the disciplines of each product and on existing online glossaries, especially those of trademark protection and control consortia. The analysis is the theoretical starting point for the work of M. T. Cabré et al. to the. On the "multiplicity of word paths" and G.
