Prof. Gianni FENU is full professor of Computer Science at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science – University of Cagliari (ITALY). He received the “laurea degree” in Engeneering at University of Cagliari (ITALY) in 1985, and he joined the University of Cagliari (ITALY) in 1988. He teaches courses of Computer Networks and Information Systems for First Level Degree in Computer Science students , and Network Architecture for Specialized Degree Courses in Informatics students. From 2008 to 2015 he has been the Coordinator of the Course of Studies of Computer Science and Informatics. He has been the Director of Bioinformatics and Innovation and Informatics Services Masters of University of Cagliari.
He is the Scientific Responsible of Smart Cities Project of E-learning Ileartv MIUR-UE (2014 -2017, 10 ME, 6 partners). He is currently involved in two Regional Project Natura 2000 (L.R. 7/2007) and in the European Research M-Commerce and Development.

He is the Responsible of Bilateral Agreement with Universidad Nacional de Tucuman (Argentina).

He is and Delegate of Rector of the ELIOS Project (MIUR, 1.2 ME).

He is author of more than 100 papers in international journals and conference proceeding.

He is council member of UnitelSardegna Consortium (University of Cagliari and University of Sassari) and the Director of E-Learning Center of University of Cagliari.

Rector’s Delegate for Information and Communication Technologies.

He is the Delegate of Rector in GARR-CRUI.

President of Faculty of Science.
