The Ministry of Universities and Research has included the Department of Law among the 180 structures that have been awarded the special fund for promoting cutting-edge university research, for the five-year period 2023/2027.

The Department’s development project has received a total funding of Euro 6.7 million, allocated to investments in human capital, infrastructure and highly qualified teaching activities.

The funds will be used to strengthen relations with local areas and the productive fabric, to bolster the national and international impact of research, and to adapt and increase the attractiveness of the Department’s courses. For higher education, a further course is planned for the internationalisation of the PhD programme.

The plan also includes: targeted measures to improve the Department’s ability to obtain national and European funding; the establishment of a Departmental Centre of Excellence in “Law, Innovation and Sustainable Development”; an increase in open access publications; the creation of a Department scientific journal (paper and online) entitled “Economic Legal Studies”.
