Presentation
The Departmental Centre of Excellence “Law, Innovation and Sustainable Development” (LISD) is actively involved in the field of research, training and consultancy. It has the task of promoting studies, research and higher education activities on the legal issues raised by the ambivalent relationship between innovation and sustainable development. It places particular emphasis on private and public sector tools for the protection and enhancement of environmental and cultural heritage, the spreading of AI-based autonomous systems, the massive use of big data and, more generally, the cybernetic dimension of human and legal relations.
Research contracts for scholars, including foreign scholars, who wish to conduct research at the Centre will be set up during the activities.
The Research Centre strives to enhance and expand its network of contacts to ensure that its research activities have greater capacity to develop partnerships with other Italian, European and international institutions, and to strengthen cooperation with the public sector and with private stakeholders such as companies, training agencies, non-profit associations, banks and foundations. The Research Centre also seeks to create partnerships that are stable and capable of participating in regional, national and European research projects.
