Ferdinando Fornara is full professor of Social Psychology at the Department of Pedagogy, psychology, philosophy at the University of Cagliari. He teaches Social Psychology (advanced course) in the Bachelor of Science in Psychological Science and Techniques and Environmental and Architectural Psychology in the Master of Science courses in Clinical and Community Psychology and Architecture. He is currently scientific director of the Interuniversity Center for Research in Environmental Psychology (CIRPA), associate editor of Frontiers in Psychology (Environmental Psychology Section)and Social Psychology, and a member of the Editorial Boards of the Journal of Environmental Psychology and of Sustainability. He is also a member of the Board (since 2018) of the International Association for People-environment Studies (IAPS) and of the Board-of-Directors of the International Association of Applied Psychology (IAAP). His research interests include the perceived quality of places (urban neighborhoods, care environments, schools, etc.), constructs regarding the relationship with places (such as attachment and place identity), and the social-psychological antecedents of sustainable behaviors.
