Abstract

Basing on a 120 (both Italian and German) necrologies corpus found on the internet and the press, the essay describes lexicon and syntax, dividing them into three cathegories: a) standard texts b) mixed atypical texts c) messages. Each one of them performs a different function, from the informative to the contact one.
