Change in Procedural Guidelines

---

With the Directorial Decrees no. 1646 and 1647 issued on 22nd June 2018, in order to reach the goal of a strong simplification and, at the same time, a more adequate timeliness in communicating to MIUR the progress of the projects, reporting procedures for NOP 2014-2020 scholarships have been modified as follows:

CYCLE XXXII

From 1st August 2018, the drafting of the PhD student's daily attendance register is abolished. It will be replaced by a brief bi-monthly report on his/her activities. The report template will be available on CINECA platform. It won't be validated by his/her tutors (UniCa, Abroad, Business), but only by the Coordinator of his/her PhD programme. Under his/her own civil and criminal responsibility, the PhD student will indicate the period (expressed in portions of month) spent at UniCa or at the enterprise, or at the foreign institution.

This means that until 31st July 2018 the previous reporting procedures will be into force; from 1st October the first bi-monthly report - about the period 1st August-30th September - should be closed; from 1st December the bi-monthly report about the period 1st October-30th November should be uploaded, and so on, till the end of the 3-year NOP scholarship.

Obviously, closing the previous operational procedures on 31st July 2018 will result inevitably in not being able to refer the transiction period, reported following the previous procedures, to the whole semester. Considering the starting date of the scholarship, it could also be reduced to few days.

1st Example: scholarship started on 1st December 2016 -> 1st semestral report: 1st December 2016-31st May 2017; 2nd semestral report: 1st June 2017-30th November 2017; 3rd semestral report: 1st December 2017-31st May 2018; 4th and last semestral report following the first procedure: 1st June 2018-31st July 2018 (not semestral, but reduced to two months).

2nd Example: scholarship started on 15th January 2017 -> 1st semestral report: 15th January 2017-14th July 2017; 2nd semestral report: 15th July 2017-14th January 2018; 3rd semestral report: 15th January 2018-14th July 2018; 4th and last semestral report following the first procedure: 15th July 2018-31st July 2018 (not semestral, but reduced to 15 days).

CYCLE XXXIII

The drafting of the PhD student's daily attendance register is abolished.

This means that, starting from 1st August, every PhD student will have to draft one or more bi-monthly report(s), also retrospectively starting from the beginning of his/her NOP scholarship.

2nd Example: scholarship started on 15th January 2018 -> 1st bi-monthly report: 15th January 2018-14th March 2018; 2nd bi-monthly report: 15th March 2018-14th May 2018; 3rd bi-monthly report: 15th May 2018-14th July 2018;4th bi-monthly report: 15th July 2018-14th September 2018, and so on.
