Curriculum Vitae of Giuseppe Bossi, updated in November 2025.

Giuseppe Bossi obtained a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and a master's degree in Energy Engineering from the University of Cagliari in 2017 and 2021, respectively.

In April 2021, he won a research grant entitled “Modeling, sizing, management, and control of energy storage systems” funded under the POR Sardegna FESR 2014-2020 project, which ended in September of the same year.

In October 2021, he won a doctoral scholarship entitled “Modeling and electronic interface systems for new generation lithium batteries for space applications,” funded by the Italian Space Agency (ASI) as part of the GLITTERY project, and began his doctoral studies in the Electronic and Computer Engineering program (DRIEI) at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (DIEE) of the University of Cagliari.

At the same time, in November 2021, he took the State Examination to qualify as an industrial engineer (Section A).

In February 2025, he completed his PhD program, successfully defending his thesis entitled “Development of a Multi-Port DC/DC Converter for Interfacing a Lithium-based Electrochemical Energy Systems.”

In October 2024, he won a Post-doctoral grant entitled “Electronic Power Converters for New Electrolysers Powered by Renewable Sources”, funded as part of the PNRR PROMETH2eus project. The Postdoc ended in July 2025 and concurrently he started a fixed-term research assistant position (RTDA), funded by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia (RAS) as part of the PR FESR 2021-2027 program.

Giuseppe Bossi was a tutor for the course "Energy Carrier and Storage Systems" as part of the Bachelor's degree in Electrical Energy Engineering for Sutainable Development. He also held a seminar entitled “Modeling and Characterization of Lithium-Ion Batteries” as part of the same course and the course "Electrical Energy Mangement" for Master's Degrees in Electrical Engineering and Energy Engineering. He also provided support for the Laboratories of Electrical Energy Mangement and Renewable Energy Sources and Storage Systems, which are part of the Master's and Bachelor's degree programs, respectively.

Giuseppe Bossi spent six months for a PhD exchange in Denmark at Aalborg University under the supervision of Prof. Frede Blaabjerg and Prof. Ariya Sangwongwanich. On that occasion, he presented his research activities at the “Applied Power Electronics Section” (APES) seminar day.

Giuseppe Bossi has participated in several international conferences and is the author of over twenty publications in conference proceedings. He has also published three articles in international journals and is currently an active member of the IEEE. In particular, he volunteered at the 2023 Energy Conversion Conference and Expo (ECCE 2023), winning the Student Grant Attendee. He also has been Topic Chair in the track E02 “Power Converter Topologies: DC-DC Isolated” of the Technical Program Committee of the 2025 Energy Conversion Conference and Expo (ECCE 2025). He has served as a reviewer for several international conferences and journals, including “IEEE Transaction on Power Electronics” and “IEEE Open Journal of Industry Applications.”
