Federica Leone is an Assistan Professor of Urban and Regional Planning at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Architecture of the University of Cagliari, Italy. She earned the National Scientific Habilitation (ASN) as Associate Professor in June 2021. She gained her PhD in City and Regional Planning from the University of Cagliari (Italy) in 2013. She earned a Master's Degree in Building Engineering at the University of Cagliari. Her research interests focus on environmental and spatial planning, with particular reference to ecosystem services and green infrastructure, planning of protected areas and environmental impact assessment.

  • 2022-2023 (3 months): Research fellow (borsa di ricerca) at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Architecture, University of Cagliari. Title of the research program: "Specific analysis and processing for strategic environmental assessment of an intervention plan for the Sardinian Tourist Port".
  • 2021-2022 (12 months): Research fellow (borsa di ricerca) at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Architecture, University of Cagliari. Title of the research program: "The integration of the objectives of the Regional Strategy of adaptation to climate change within municipal masterplans and the corresponding environmental reports in relation to the Sardinian Region, Italy".
  • 2020-2021 (12 months): Research fellow (assegno di ricerca) at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Architecture, University of Cagliari.
