Born in Cagliari in 1975, in 2000 he graduated in Civil Engineering. In 2006 he obtained the title of PhD in Building Engineering with a thesis entitled "Design criteria and construction solutions for the reduction of energy loads of residential buildings in the Mediterranean area". In 2008 he began teaching at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture in Cagliari. He is currently a lecturer of the course "Sustainable building: bioclimatic design" for the Master's Degree in Civil Engineering and of the Technical Architecture module of the integrated course "Building: Construction and Recovery" for the Degree in Building and Land Techniques. He is also supervisor and co-supervisor of Master's and PhD theses.

In 2010 he won a two-year research grant funded by the Region of Sardinia for a project entitled "Bioclimatic models for high energy efficiency architecture in Sardinia". From 2013 to 2019 he held Research Grants funded by the ENPI Project "FOSTEr in MED – Promotion of solar technologies in the Mediterranean area" and by the Project "Study on the redevelopment of public buildings in Sulcis to nZEB". He has also held positions in national and international research projects in the field of monitoring and improving the energy performance of residential and non-residential public buildings. In 2018 he obtained the qualification as associate professor in the field "Design, Architectural Technology, Architectural Engineering and Management of Built Environment" and since 2020 he has been Assistant Professor of Architectural Engineering at the DICAAR Department of the University of Cagliari.

He has given invited speeches at local and national seminars and conferences and is the author of monographs and articles at national and international level in journals and conference proceedings.
