Excited to share groundbreaking findings from our latest research on Sustainable Retrofitting Solutions: Evaluating the Performance of Jute Fiber Nets and Composite Mortar in Natural Fiber Textile Reinforced Mortars, published in Sustainability MDPI. Our study dives deep into the potential of hashtag#jute fiber as a game-changer for the integrated retrofitting of seismic-vulnerable and poorly insulated buildings.

Why Jute?
We explored three critical aspects of jute fiber products:

Mechanical Performance: Our tensile strength tests on jute nets (in two mesh configurations) reveal promising results for upgrading masonry walls with natural fiber textile reinforced mortars (NFTRM) systems.

100% Recyclability: We've demonstrated the complete recyclability of leftover jute fibers into composite mortar, setting a benchmark for sustainable construction practices.

Insulation Capacity: The recycled jute net fiber composite mortar (RJNFCM) showcases moderate insulation capacities, making it an eco-friendly option for building insulation.

Our findings indicate that the denser mesh configuration (2.5 cm × 1.25 cm) is significantly stiffer and more capable of absorbing strain energy, offering a superior choice for structural retrofitting.

Towards Sustainable Construction
This research underscores the importance of natural fibers like jute in constructing safer, more sustainable buildings. By embracing recyclability and enhancing structural and thermal retrofitting capabilities, we pave the way for greener, more resilient urban landscapes.

Let's discuss the implications of integrating sustainable materials like jute in our construction practices. How can we further harness the potential of natural fibers for environmental and structural benefits
