The 2022 series of Seminars in Microbiology will start on March 16th with a lecture by Prof. Gkikas Magiorkinis entitled "Evolutionary Epidemiology of Viral Infections and Application to Public Health Research" .

As part of the Seminars Cycles of the Department of Life and Environmental Sciences (DiSVA), the series of Seminars in Microbiology 2022 will start on March 16th with a lecture by Prof. Gkikas Magiorkinis entitled "Evolutionary Epidemiology of Viral Infections and Application to Public Health Research" . The full program of the series (March-July 2022) is available in the attached flyer.

Seminars will be given in English and will be held at the Cittadella di Monserrato, Block H, Room C.

To participate, students must register at least one day before the event at: https://forms.office.com/r/TQfgGYQ1x3

Students enrolled in  Biology, Marine Bio-Ecology, Cellular and Molecular Biology and Neuropsicobiology Courses can attend the seminars to accumulate hours to complete their free choice CFU package* (8 hours = 1 CFU; 4 Seminars in Microbiology = 1 CFU). Hours will be granted only if the evaluation of the questionnaire at the end of each seminar will be succesfully passed.

Students are reminded that, for the purpose of uploading the CFUs obtained through participation in seminars, the duly compiled seminars' register must be sent to the referent teacher, whose identity is indicated in the template available on the website of their Degree Program.

* Maximum CFUs accumulated with seminars is 3 for the students enrolled in the Biology, Marine Bio-Ecology, Neuropsicology courses and in the Curriculum in Molecular Citology of the Cellular and Molecular Biology Course. Students enrolled in the Advanced Cellular Studies Curriculum of the Cellular and Molecular Biology Course are enabled to accumulate with seminars up to 6 CFUs (a total of 48 hours).
