The seminar aimed to present the main policies related to the European Research Area (ERA) and focus on the importance of those implemented by research institutes and universities to improve the research environment and attract and retain the best researchers in compliance with C&C principles with a focus on first-stage researchers.
The application process for the "European Excellence in Research" award through the implementation of the European HRS4R strategy in UniCa will be presented. The organization for HRS4R within UniCa and the state of the art of implementation with examples of gaps and identified actions will be explained. Referring to the European Commission Communication "Towards a European Framework for Research Careers", will be presented the classification of researchers on the basis of career development. Finally, the international opportunities offered by UniCa under the Ph.D. programs and EDUC Alliance will be mentioned.
