My current research within this project, focuses on the analysis of semantic processing and its relationship with complex quantitative computation processes.

By delving into the architectures of generative connectionist decoder-only models, and experimenting with some of them, we are investigating their performance in cognitive tasks that require specific knowledge and skills. We are also comparing these performances with certain aspects of human cognitive processes. Particular attention is given to recurrent logical and computational errors that undermine the reliability of the models, and to some explanatory hypotheses of these phenomena.

The analysis of these models' reliability intersects with two specific research areas we are conducting in parallel. On one hand, we are investigating the use of these tools in scientific research and learning processes, particularly in terms of their scope and effectiveness. On the other hand, we are studying prompts, focusing on the formulation of input specifications to analyze and enhance the efficiency of these models.

A significant aspect of the research activity within this project is the diverse participation in international conferences, where we have the opportunity to present our research, receive critical feedback, and engage in stimulating discussions with a highly specialized audience on interesting theoretical hypotheses.
