PhD student: Filippo Rasera

Role: R1 - First Stage Researcher

Supervisor: Prof. Francesco Paoli, Prof. Antonio Ledda

I graduated from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice with a bachelor’s degree in Classics and I obtained my master’s degree in Philosophy at the University of Padua. I wrote my master thesis on mereology, focusing on its second-order and plurally quantified formulations.

I am currently a PhD Student at the University of Cagliari under the supervision of Professor Francesco Paoli and Professor Antonio Ledda. My research falls within the scope of formal logic, in particular algebraic logic.

My research interests lie in the field of formal logic, in particular algebraic logic, a discipline that studies the relations between logics and their semantics, built using the tools of universal algebra. I am also interested in mereology, the formal theory of parthood relation, with a focus on the metatheoretical study of its second-order and plurally quantified formulations.
