The degree course of Masters in Chemical Science (LM-54) offers an education for professionals with a high level of knowledge in chemistry, theoretical, methodological, experimental and applied, in fundamental areas of chemistry. The objectives of the course include development of the ability to design, synthesise and characterise both known and new compounds, through classical methods and new innovations addressing environmental sustainability and efficiency criteria. The course builds a multidisciplinary understanding of the molecular properties and reactivity, with the ability and select and use technologies best suited for analysis. Students develop independent judgement when critically examining results obtained, identifying and resolving operational and experimental errors and anomalies. The course offers opportunities to explain discoveries through oral and written presentations, in Italian but also in English. The degree provides graduates with the competency to enter the workforce ready to work in any role related to the chemical sciences.
