Abstract

NOVELTY - The apparatus (1) has a sensing unit (2) which provides analog measurement signals (MS) of phase voltages and currents in an electrical grid (G). An analog-to-digital-converter (4) receives a clock signal (CS) from the time synchronization module (7) to synchronize the sampling of signals. A computation unit (5) calculates and synchronizes the electrical quantities (EQ) with the external time information (ET) to provide synchronized electrical quantities (SEQ) that are transmitted to an external data collection point (8) by the communication module (6).
