Abstract

In Sardinia under the old regime, the parliamentary institution played a fundamental role. The monograph on the parliament of 1553-1554, also complete with the transcription of the parliamentary acts (in Catalan, with summaries in Italian), focuses on the centrality of the parliament in the political life of the kingdom and the problems, of different nature, economic, administrative, religious, devotional and so on, which are being addressed at that historical moment.
