Abstract
The translation of names is one of the traductological topics for which there is a greater distance between what is stated by theoreticians and the translation practice. In this historical phase, in fact, on a theoretical level the prevailing idea is that names should not be translated, but an even superficial analysis of the published texts shows a very different and varied reality. The present paper analyses four Spanish translations of the novel The Maltese Falcon (1930) by Dashiell Hammett, in order to verify any variation in the strategies applied in the translation of antrophonimies in the novel.File | Size | Format | |
