Abstract
The present chapter aims to analyse the development of the English language in the United States, looking in particular at the policies and attitudes towards standardization, bilingualism and ethnicity. It will also attempt to observe such development through the study of literary texts, especially for what regards the influence of ethnic dialects into American English.File | Size | Format | |
