Abstract
The capture of 29 specimens of Scorpaena maderensis (Valenciennes, 1833) (Osteichthyes, Scorpaeniformes), along the south western coast of Sardinia (2-5 m depth) in 2002, is reported. Total length of the specimens collected ranged from 9.5 to 14.3 cm.
