Dipartimento di Scienze Chimiche e Geologiche

Annalisa Chiappone obtained a Bachelor degree (2006) and then a Master degree (2008) in Materials Engineering from Politecnico di Torino. In 2008 she also achieved the French second level Master degree (Polymers for advanced technologies) from the J. Fourier University in Grenoble (FR). Afterwards, she obtained a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Politecnico di Torino in 2012 with a Thesis on polymer electrolytes membranes reinforced with natural fibers for Li-ion batteries. In 2012 she moved to Italian Institute of Technology(IIT), Center for Sustainable Future Technologies. She worked on the development of functional polymeric materials for different applications including sensors and materials for energy and electronic. In 2015 she moved her interests towards the development of smart formulations for 3D printing. In 2018, she moved back to Politecnico di Torino as researcher to set up a platform dedicated to 3D printing, specifically focused on light activated reactions. In 2021 Annalisa obtained the position of Assisatan Professor in Industrial Chemistry at University of Cagliari.

She is author of more than 70 papers on international peer-reviewed journals and several book chapters.

Her research interests are focused on the development of polymeric formulations for light induced 3D printing for innovative applications. One of the goal of her research is to move toward bio-based monomers and initiators.
