Maria Cristina Carrisi graduated in Mathematic in 2003 and received her PhD in Mathematics from the University of Cagliari in 2008.

From 19/12/2008 to 3/01/2013 she has a post doc position at the University of Cagliari. The research project was entitled “Problemi aperti in  termodinamica estesa e influenza dei gruppi di Poincarè e di De Sitter sulla relatività ristretta”.

In 2017 she received the National Scientific Qualification as associated professor SSD 01/A4 (Mathematical Physics).

In November 2019 she joined the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Cagliari as a Researcher.

The research activity of M.Cristina Carrisi focuses on fluid dynamics, laying in particular in the field of Extended Thermodynamics, studing  models for monatomic and polyatomic gases in both classical and relativistic framworks.

She authored more than 30 papers in international peer review journals (https://www.scopus.com/authid/detail.uri?authorId=23102255800).

She partecipated as speaker to many international conferences, in Italy and abroad.
