EDUCATION

2016-2019 PH.D. in Mechanics of Materials (Mecanique des Materiaux), funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Sk?odowska-Curie grant agreement No 665850, achieved on 10/09/2019 at the Ecole Doctorale Sciences, Technologie, Santé, Galilée (ED 146) of the University of Paris "Université PARIS 13 Sorbonne Paris Cité", with a thesis entitled "Continuous models for multi-phase architectured/meta materials: homogenization and damage evolution in three-dimensional lattices embedded in a softer matrix", supervisor Prof. PATRICK FRANCIOSI (University of Paris "Université PARIS 13 Sorbonne Paris Cité").

2012-2015       Master’s Degree in Physics University of Naples “Federico II”

2007-2011       Bachelor’s Degree in Physics University of Naples “Federico II”

Ph.D. In the Ph.D work, I have presented the result of the contact between two domains which in origin are very distant: the synthesis of new theory-driven conceived materials, the so-called metamaterials, and an homogenization framework based on some particular mathematical objects called Green operators, fruitfully used for describing the effective properties of composite materials. So, the main idea driving this work was to design and study (and, eventually, to produce and measure) a mechanical system which we could call composite metamaterial. It is characterised by both the enhanced properties of composite materials and of the smart architectures characteristic of metamaterials.

Master’s Degree The research subject of my Master thesis, in Particle Physics, was the semileptonic decay of mesons B in mesons D and D*. Working on my Master thesis, I studied various arguments like Quantum Field Theory, Standard Model, Quantum Chromo Dynamics, effective theories and other topics inherent to particle physics. Moreover, I learned some topics about General Relativity and Computational Physics. For doing simulations needed in my work I learned to use Wolfram Mathematica very well.

Bachelor’s Degree In my Bachelor' course I studied different aspects of Classical Mechanics and some of Quantum Mechanics. My Bachelor's thesis was about “Classical limit of the Pauli's equation”, interconnecting Quantum and Classical Mechanics in presence of the spin.
