Online Multidisciplinary Courses

New opportunities for EDUC students offered by UniCa

Students from the Universities of Potsdam, Paris Nanterre, Rennes, Masaryk, and Pécs can apply until the 29th of February on the EDUC course catalogue (https://courses.educalliance.eu/) for a wide offer of online multidisciplinary courses organized by the University of Cagliari.

All the below-described asynchronous courses (60 available places each) will start on the 1st of March 2024 to be completed by the end of July 2024. The organizing teachers will be available for online tutoring and students will undergo an evaluation test every month.

Applicants will have notice of their application’s outcome before the 1st of March 2024.

 

1) Marketing and Corporate communication - Prof. Lovari (12hrs, 2 ECTS)

This course aims to teach students the strategic role of marketing, digital platforms and social media for companies and organizations, the evolving characteristics of corporate communication, and how to create and manage digital communication projects with a focus on social networking sites.

2) History of medieval art - Prof. Pala (12hrs, 2 ECTS)

The course aims to equip students with the skills to analyze medieval art, covering technical, iconographic, iconological, formal, stylistic, historical, and cultural aspects. Topics include methods for interpreting medieval works, the evolutionary phases of medieval art from the 4th to the 14th century (with a focus on Sardinia), and comparisons between Sardinian and Mediterranean/European medieval art.

3) The future of Europe - Prof. Rossi (18hrs, 3 ECTS)

The Virtual Module of Future Europe imparts a comprehensive understanding of the European Union's present and future politics. Students gain foundational knowledge to comprehend EU functioning, develop critical analysis skills for assessing international interactions, and master historiographic and political debates. The goal is to enable students to form independent and analytical judgments about the EU's international role.

4) International Environmental Law & Policy - Prof. Amoroso (16hrs, 3 ECTS)

This course aims to provide students with fundamental understanding of the international and EU legal systems, encompassing their legal sources, compliance mechanisms, and integration into the Italian legal framework. Additionally, it introduces key principles of the international and EU environmental law, with a specific emphasis on the foundational principle of sustainable development.

5) Culture and Society of Arab contemporary countries Prof. Manduchi (12hrs, 2 ECTS)

The course aims to provide students with foundational knowledge, analytical skills, and insights into the history and institutions of the Arab world. It covers key topics such as the geographical aspects of the Arab and Muslim world, a brief history of Islam, the Prophet Muhammad, and elements like the Qur'an, Sunnah, Shari'a, and Fiqh. Additionally, the course explores contemporary issues in the Arab world, incorporating current debates and specific workshops.
