Academic travel
PhD students, in agreement with their supervisor, may attend conferences, seminars and other cultural events relevant to their doctoral research project.
Mission reimbursement is managed by the DIEE (Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering) administrative secretariat.
In order to obtain full repayment of expenses incurred, it is necessary for the Phd student to carefully complete the necessary documents available in the link DIEE Missions forms
Please note the following guidelines:
- It's imperative that the Phd student always fills out and sends before leaving the request for authorisation of the mission to be signed by the Director of the DIEE.
- PhD students must obtain their supervisor’s authorization, and that of the fund manager only if the relevant expenses are to be charged to funds other than the supervisor’s.
- To be fully reimbursed, all expenses must be paid from January 2025 by traceable means such as debit/credit card.
- Expenses to be re-paid must be submitted in the form a receipt whith tax value.
- All expenses must be registered in the name of the individual PhD student and not in the name of the University of Cagliari or any other person.
- The Phd student must always present certificates of attendance at conferences or events for which he/she is requesting reimbursement of mission expenses.
