Abstract del seminario:
In this seminar, I will first give a brief overview of superconductivity and the general phase diagrams of cuprate and iron-based high-Tc superconductors. One interesting feature of these diagrams is the competition between different orders that appear together with superconductivity. Then, I will focus on the magnetostructural interplay found in the iron-based systems. Specifically, I will construct a simple phenomenological framework for describing this interplay and I will work out its application for rationalizing the interaction between structural and magnetic orders.
