Celebrating Paola: a day to remember Franco-Italian Geometry Day

24 September 2026 Palazzo delle Scienze Via Ospedale 72 Cagliari – ITALY - AULA B

This one day meeting is in honour of Paola Piu and her journey through differential geometry. On the occasion of Paola’s retirement, friends, colleagues, and collaborators come together to celebrate her long and fruitful career. From her early studies in Cagliari and her doctoral years in Mulhouse to her research and teaching at the University of Cagliari, Paola has contributed to the development of differential geometry while building lasting scientific collaborations and friendships across the international mathematical community. This meeting is an opportunity to celebrate not only her scientific contributions, but also her enthusiasm for geometry, her dedication to teaching and outreach, and the many connections she has created throughout her career.
