My research interests mainly concern the philosophy of clinical psychology, with a particular focus on the psychoanalytic approach. Among the main topics I explore in this field are akrasia, obsessiveness and psychosis. The latter theme is at the core of the PRIN project “Metaphor and Epistemic Injustice in Mental Illness: The Case of Schizophrenia” (https://prin.unica.it/meimi/), in which I am involved in the context of the Cagliari Unit. The project aims to investigate the phenomenon of epistemic injustice in contexts of mental illness, with particular reference to metaphorical communication. Furthermore, my long-standing research interests also include formal epistemology, with a focus on the paradoxes of rational belief.
