Abstract

The in vitro properties of ten flurazepam capsule formulations marketed in Italy were studied. All studied formulations showed a good agreement with pharmacopoeial requirements. In particular all studied capsules showed a quite fast release of the hypnotic drug even if some differences could be observed. Generally, time dissolution varied between 10 and 20 min on varying dissolution medium pH, active ingredient concentrations and excipients employed. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
