Abstract
A lesson in Architecture. The 19th century hospital of Gaetano Cima in Cagliari. The quest to construct a piece of civic architecture, a municipal hospital, based on latest technical developments in the second half of the nineteenth century, led Gaetano Cima to design a unique building for the Ospedale Civile in Cagliari by studying and resolving numerous complex problems in a surprisingly original way.
