Discrete Element Analysis of out-of-plane behavior of masonry walls

Abstract
In this work a finite/discrete element procedure is proposed for studying the behavior of masonry structures. The idea is to test the availability of this method in some simple meaningful case, e.g. masonry panels with ordered texture, in the perspective of studying more complex and disordered masonry textures.
